A Glimpse From the Inside
The pain was there.
For a long time.
In my body, in my heart, in my memory.
Always present somehow. Always keeping me small.
And then he treated me.
Softly. Strange. Far away.
I didn’t know what he was doing.
But afterwards, I went.
I simply went — outside, into life.
Disheveled, tired, worn out in my head.
But something was different.
And the world noticed it before I did.
Waving people.
Gentle eyes.
A hug.
A voice that said: “I hope to see you again.”
And only then I felt it.
The pain was gone.
Truly gone.
As if my body whispered:
“You may go on now.”
